- It was a difficult match. We played against one of the leaders of the championship. The first twenty minutes were very difficult for us, but eventually we got together and were able to eventually win.
- Today, FC Astana players have sent the ball into the cross bar for a few times. Do you think that today football God was on the side of FC Aktobe?
- I wouldn’t say so. In previous rounds, we tied draws for three times, even though during the match we had good moments and chances to win, but at the very last moment, we seemed not to have had enough luck. It never happens that good luck is always around. Perhaps, today we have been just a little bit unlucky.
- During the game, it seemed like Aktobe was playing number two...
- No, we always play the first number. Today, we did not have Alexander Heinrich, who is our main striker. In addition, Kapadze and Kovalchuk started training two days ago, and, perhaps, this is somehow affected our offensive line.
- Aleksey, you have already played six games in Kazakhstan. Could compare Kazakh and Russian championships?
- I think that the difference is not as noticeable. In my view, such championship leaders as Astana, Aktobe or Shakhter would not get lost in the Russian championship.
- You mean Premier League?
- Yes, I do.
- What can you say about FC Aktobe’s head coach?
- He is a very good coach. I can say that he is a strong psychologist. I am pleased to be working with him.
- You came to replace Samat Smakov and you are constantly compared to him. Do you think you have fully replaced him?
- No. It is a long way for me to grow to be like Smakov. Samat is a legend of Kazakhstan football and I am far from him professionally. But the fact that I am compared with him is a great honour for me.
- Who will be Aktobe’s main competitor in the fight for the Premier League title?
- Our main competitor will be ourselves. If we strictly follow the tasks set by the coach, play to the full in every game, avoid misfires, then we will be able to become national champions.
- Who are the most difficult forwards in the Kazakhstan Premier League play against.
- The most difficult games were against Ulugbek Bakayev. He is a dangerous forward in a good sense of the word.
- What is your dream as a footballer?
- I dream of becoming a champion of Kazakhstan and of winning the Cup of the country.
