The following teams will present Kazakhstan in these tournaments: the reigning champion of the country - "Aktobe", silver medalist - "Astana", bronze - "Kairat", and winner of the Cup of Kazakhstan - "Shakhtar”, which last season played in the group stage of the Europa League.
The champion of Georgia - Tbilisi "Dinamo" was determined as “Aktobe" club’s rivals. It should be noted that "Aktobe" will start playing in the Champions League from second qualifying round. The first matches of this stage will be held July 15-16 in Georgia, and the response matches will be played July 22-23 in Kazakhstan.
Metropolitan FC "Astana" has got one of the strongest clubs in Armenia "Pyunik". "Shakhtar" Karaganda will play against the other representative of this country. "Miners" are to play with "Chirac" from Gyumri. "Kairat" Almaty will meet with Albanian "Kukes" in the first qualifying round of the Europa League.
The first round matches of this tournament will be held July 3rd and the responses July 10.
